Private Client International Estate Planning Associate / Senior Associate

Job Overview:
A respected law firm with a nationally recognized Private Client practice is seeking an experienced Associate or Senior Associate with a focus on international estate planning. This position offers the opportunity to advise high-net-worth individuals and multinational families on cross-border wealth and tax planning. Ideal candidates will have significant experience working with both U.S. and non-U.S. taxpayers, with a deep understanding of foreign trusts, U.S. real estate investments by non-residents, and international compliance matters. The role offers flexibility regarding office location and schedule, including hybrid and part-time options.

Location:

• West Palm Beach, FL

Duties:

• Advise clients on complex cross-border estate and tax planning matters

• Structure wealth management strategies that address multi-jurisdictional legal and tax implications

• Work with U.S. citizens with foreign assets, non-U.S. persons moving to or investing in the U.S., and multinational families

• Provide guidance on foreign trusts, pre-immigration planning, expatriation, and U.S. property investments by foreign individuals

• Assist clients with compliance and reporting obligations related to foreign accounts, corporations, and trusts

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including tax, corporate, and transactional attorneys within a Family Office framework

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in international estate planning

• Proven ability to handle sophisticated planning for high-net-worth individuals and families

• Strong client service, technical, and professional skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy abilities

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on complex legal matters

• Member in good standing of the bar in the jurisdiction of practice (required)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the applicable U.S. jurisdiction

• Additional international tax or estate planning certifications are a plus

Skills:

• Deep knowledge of U.S. and international tax law affecting estate planning

• Experience with wealth transfer strategies and compliance for cross-border families
