Duties:

  • Litigate unlawful detainer actions in California state courts on behalf of property owners and managers.
  • Defend and conduct depositions as needed.
  • Provide legal advice through phone consultations, assessing the facts and issues of each scenario and counseling clients accordingly.
  • Respond to client questions and concerns to enhance client relations and increase business retention.
  • Collaborate with legal staff to ensure the preparation and completion of all pre-trial motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Active California Bar license.
  • Strong oral advocacy skills.
  • Some knowledge of trial procedure and evidence code.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse educational, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds, with varying communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of unlawful detainer law.
  • Minimum of 1 year of jury trial experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar license.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of trial procedure and evidence code.
