A law firm in Plano is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on gaming regulatory experience, particularly in representing the tribal gaming space. Duties:

  • Represent clients in litigation matters pertaining to the gaming industry, with a focus on gaming regulatory issues.
  • Draft and argue discovery motions relevant to gaming regulatory cases.
  • Take and defend depositions in gaming-related litigation matters.
  • Manage cases efficiently, including coordinating with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in the gaming industry, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on gaming regulatory matters as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in at least one state.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry, preferably in a mid-size to large law firm setting.
  • Experience with gaming regulatory matters, including casino gaming, sports betting, iGaming, and fantasy sports.
  • Strong background in drafting and arguing discovery motions.
  • Proven track record of taking and defending depositions.
  • Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in at least one jurisdiction.
