Associate Attorney needed for Brandon office

Job Overview: A law firm in Brandon, FL, is seeking an Associate Attorney who is self-motivated and eager to learn. The successful candidate will manage a caseload with the support of a dedicated legal assistant and under the guidance of a supervising attorney.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various case matters.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal correspondence.
• Assist with the discovery process, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the Florida Bar or eligible for admission via reciprocity.
• Experience in motion/hearing practice and discovery practice.
• Familiarity with JAWS/file system preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
