Residential and Commercial Conveyancers

A law firm in Waltham, MA, is actively seeking motivated and self-starting Residential and Commercial Conveyancers to join their team. Ideal candidates for this position should have a proven track record in handling residential and/or commercial conveyancing matters. Additionally, applicants are required to bring an existing book of business to the firm, showcasing their ability to generate and manage client relationships.

Duties:

• Manage the entire conveyancing process for residential and/or commercial properties, including title searches, document preparation, and closings.
• Conduct due diligence on property transactions, ensuring legal compliance and identifying potential issues.
• Review and draft contracts, purchase agreements, and other legal documents related to property transactions.
• Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth property transactions.
• Address client inquiries, provide legal advice, and resolve issues that may arise during the conveyancing process.
• Stay updated on relevant real estate laws, regulations, and market trends to provide informed guidance to clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
• 1-6 years of experience in residential and/or commercial conveyancing.
• Demonstrated ability to bring an existing book of business to the firm.
• Proficiency in conducting title searches and due diligence.
• Strong knowledge of property laws and regulations in Massachusetts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple conveyancing matters.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar Association or equivalent bar association.

Skills:

• Expertise in drafting legal documents for property transactions.
• Familiarity with conveyancing software and databases.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
• Time management skills to handle multiple conveyancing cases simultaneously.
