Senior Employment Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Employment Attorney to join its expanding legal team. This position is perfect for an attorney with substantial experience in employment law, including litigation and trial work. The ideal candidate will play a key role in handling complex cases, mentoring junior attorneys, and developing case strategies.

Duties:

  • Manage all phases of employment law cases, including discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and workplace harassment.
  • Lead trials, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations, including jury trials.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to junior attorneys.
  • Conduct client intake and interviews for screened leads.
  • Offer strategic legal advice to clients on a range of employment law matters.
  • Oversee a high-volume caseload, ensuring deadlines and legal requirements are met.
  • Formulate and execute case strategies from inception through trial.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership with the State Bar of California.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in employment law litigation.
  • Proven trial experience, including handling jury trials.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
  • Effective case management and negotiation skills.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative legal team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Exceptional trial and litigation expertise.
  • Excellent leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
