Litigation Of Counsel

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel to join their San Francisco, CA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation. A science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) is required for consideration. Here's a breakdown of the job description:

Job Overview:

The Litigation Of Counsel will provide legal expertise and support in complex litigation matters, focusing on product liability and commercial litigation. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality work products, meeting deadlines, and fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• J.D. degree
• 8+ years of litigation experience
• Admission to the California Bar
• Direct and applicable experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm
• Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools

Education and Certifications:

• J.D. degree
• Admission to the California Bar

Skills:

• 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm
• Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation
• Science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology)
• Superior research, analytical, and writing skills
• Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail
