A law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney for its Coral Springs, FL, location. The Family Law Associate Attorney will handle a variety of family law matters, with a preference for experience in litigation or negotiation. The firm offers a competitive salary and retirement plan (Simple IRA), and is willing to be extraordinarily flexible.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and domestic violence cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediation.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on family law issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff on case strategy and management.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay current on changes in family law statutes and case law.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in family law, preferably in litigation or negotiation.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Knowledge of family law statutes and procedures.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
