A law firm in Mauldin, SC is seeking a Managing Real Estate Attorney to oversee all residential and commercial real estate transactions in the office. The ideal candidate should be a member in good standing of the SC Bar, with experience in closing real estate transactions and the capacity to run all aspects of a standalone office, including business development. Responsibilities include overseeing residential and commercial sales and refinances, reviewing title, working with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate transactions, drafting and reviewing loan documents, delivering a professional experience to clients, reviewing disbursement ledgers, developing business relationships, conducting training for potential clients, and managing supporting staff.

 

Duties:

  • Oversee all residential and commercial real estate transactions in the office.
  • Review titles for real estate transactions.
  • Work with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate real estate transactions.
  • Draft and/or review loan documents including contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Deliver a professional and engaging experience to clients.
  • Address any lingering questions or concerns clients may have.
  • Review disbursement ledger and sign checks.
  • Develop, cultivate, and grow business relationships for the firm.
  • Conduct training for potential clients in relevant areas of real estate law.
  • Manage supporting staff.

 

Requirements:

  • Member of the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing).
  • Experience in closing real estate transactions.
  • Capacity to run all aspects of a standalone office.
  • Excellent and prompt verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Residential real estate experience preferred.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school (Required).
  • Member of the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing).

 

Certifications:

Member of the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing).
