Of Counsel

A law firm is seeking an Of Counsel for their Seattle, WA office.

Job Overview:

The Of Counsel will defend and prosecute lawsuits about a wide range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination. They will represent employers in various legal proceedings, provide counsel on labor and employment laws, and demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving various employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
• Provide advice and counsel to employers on various labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• JD is from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 7+ years of litigation experience, employment law background strongly preferred.
• Active WA Bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Understanding of current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association.
