Duties:

  • Review title documents and conduct due diligence for real estate transactions.
  • Document, negotiate, and close real estate secured loans, leases, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Advise clients on real estate transactions, offering legal guidance and strategic advice.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to real estate matters.
  • Manage multiple client matters and projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients to ensure successful transaction outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience at a comparable law firm, particularly in real estate law.
  • Proven ability to manage complex real estate transactions, including title review, loan documentation, and negotiations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or the equivalent from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York.

Skills:

  • Real estate law expertise, including secured lending, leasing, and acquisitions.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
