Corporate Associate - Mergers & Acquisitions and General Transactional

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate to join its Corporate practice group in Charlotte, NC. This role involves representing both public and privately owned companies in various business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial contract issues, and corporate governance counsel.

Duties

• Perform due diligence review and manage disclosure schedules.
• Prepare documents for closing M&A transactions.
• Review, draft, and negotiate principal and ancillary agreements.
• Engage in a variety of M&A, corporate, and commercial projects.
• Provide pragmatic counsel with significant client contact.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of corporate transactional experience, including M&A.
• Strong business background and ability to grasp business concepts quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to ask questions and learn in a team-oriented environment.
• Regular office attendance required.

Education

• Law Degree

Certifications

• Eligibility for North Carolina Bar admission is preferred.
