Litigation Of Counsel

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel to join their team in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will handle complex litigation matters, primarily in product liability and commercial litigation. Below are the details of the job:

Job Overview:

The Litigation Of Counsel will provide high-quality legal representation to clients, engage in strategic case management, and contribute to the firm's litigation practice. This role requires strong communication skills, legal expertise, and the ability to work effectively, independently, and collaboratively within a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
• A science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) must be considered.
• Superior research, analytical, and writing skills are highly preferred.
• Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including working independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize is required.
• Prefer candidates with immediately transferable skills and strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail will be critical to success.
• J.D. degree.
• IL Bar admission.
• 8+ years of litigation experience.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.
