Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, is currently seeking a Mid-to-Senior-Level Managed Care Litigation Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. Managed care or health care experience is required for this position.

Duties:

  • Handle complex commercial litigation and arbitration cases.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, demonstrating effective multitasking abilities.
  • Serve as the point person on litigation and/or counseling matters, including coordination with other associates and staff.
  • Act as a client contact, maintaining strong client relationships and addressing their needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Managed care or health care experience is a must.
  • Proven experience in handling multiple cases and/or managing regulatory or compliance matters.
  • Significant case management and/or client counseling experience is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Case management and client counseling expertise.
