Job Overview: A law firm in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a dedicated Criminal/Traffic Lawyer to aggressively and compassionately represent clients facing criminal and traffic charges. The ideal candidate will possess strong advocacy skills and a deep understanding of criminal and traffic law.

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation to clients facing criminal and traffic charges.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Negotiate with prosecutors and opposing counsel for favorable outcomes
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and appeals

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar, active and in good standing
  • 1 year of experience.
  • Proven experience as a Criminal/Traffic Lawyer, preferably in a law firm setting
  • Excellent knowledge of criminal and traffic law, procedures, and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with colleagues

Certifications:

  • Illinois State Bar admission
