A law firm is currently seeking a Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant law firm or in-house experience and will be responsible for providing trademark counseling to clients, conducting research, and supporting both counseling and litigation for trade secret, trademark, and false advertising matters.

 

Duties:

  • Provide trademark counseling to clients
  • Conduct brief or somewhat more complex research or draft memoranda related to judicature and specific legal issues.
  • Support both counseling and litigation for trade secret, trademark, and false advertising matters.
  • Communicate with clients via telephone and email.
  • Participate in due diligence, analyzing agreements in data rooms and providing subsequent descriptions.
  • Offer direct assistance to senior lawyers on matters arising in the course of day-to-day provision of legal services to leading international and domestic corporate clients.
  • Join educational seminars and practice groups
  • Utilize experience in trademark, trade secrets, and false advertising

 

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Admission to the Bar of the State

 

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in trademark law or related areas (optional)

 

Experience:

3+ years of relevant law firm or in-house experience

 

Skills:

  • Excellent research and drafting skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to conduct brief or somewhat more complex legal research
  • Familiarity with counseling and litigation for trade secret, trademark, and false advertising matters
  • Proficiency in due diligence, analyzing agreements, and providing subsequent descriptions
