A multi-state law firm is seeking a seasoned Federal Civil Litigation Attorney to support its growing creditors’ rights and financial services litigation practice. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on complex matters for national and regional financial institutions. The ideal candidate brings extensive federal court experience, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to manage a busy caseload independently.

Location

Duties

• Manage a caseload of federal civil litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery responses

• Represent clients in federal court hearings, conferences, and trials

• Advise financial institution clients on litigation strategy and risk management

• Ensure compliance with all federal procedural rules and deadlines

• Coordinate with legal teams across multiple jurisdictions

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of federal civil litigation experience

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York

• Proficiency with federal court rules and individual judge part requirements

• Strong writing, legal research, and courtroom advocacy skills

• Ability to manage cases independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

• Prior experience in creditors’ rights or financial services litigation preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York

• Admission to multiple federal courts preferred
