The candidate will be responsible for trying unlawful detainer cases in CA state courts on behalf of property owners and managers, negotiating settlements, drafting pre-trial motions, pleadings, and discovery.

 

Duties:

  • Try unlawful detainer cases in CA state courts on behalf of property owners and managers.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties.
  • Draft pre-trial motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various rent control ordinances, unlawful detainer law, and post-foreclosure eviction law.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Active California Bar License.
  • Minimum of 3 years of trial experience, including jury trial experience.
  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Knowledge of various rent control ordinances, unlawful detainer law, and post-foreclosure eviction law.
