Trial Attorney

A law firm in Concord, CA, is seeking a Trial Attorney with 3+ years of trial experience, including jury trial experience. The candidate will be responsible for trying unlawful detainer cases in CA state courts on behalf of property owners and managers, negotiating settlements, drafting pre-trial motions, pleadings, and discovery.

Duties:

• Try unlawful detainer cases in CA state courts on behalf of property owners and managers.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties.
• Draft pre-trial motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
• Demonstrate knowledge of various rent control ordinances, unlawful detainer law, and post-foreclosure eviction law.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Active California Bar License.
• Minimum of 3 years of trial experience, including jury trial experience.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Knowledge of various rent control ordinances, unlawful detainer law, and post-foreclosure eviction law.
