Transportation Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled Transportation Attorney to play a pivotal role in shaping legal strategies, navigating complex transportation issues, and advocating for clients in general liability and personal injury cases. The candidate will actively participate in selling the firm's capabilities, conducting thorough legal research, drafting legal documents, collaborating with partners, and contributing to the firm's growth.

• Collaborate with partners and attorneys to develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
• Work closely with experts to understand and present case-specific details.
• Argue motions in open court, showcasing legal acumen and persuasive skills.
• Prepare for and conduct lay and expert depositions, contributing to evidentiary foundation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Proven experience as an attorney with a strong background in transportation law, general liability, and personal injury.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions, attending court appearances, mediations, and drafting/opposing motions.
• Familiarity or proficiency with Westlaw and Filevine.
• Civil trial experience, with first chair experience being a significant advantage.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, follow through, and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in preparing for and conducting lay and expert depositions.
