A law firm is seeking a Securities Litigation Associate Attorney in Palo Alto. The attorney will be responsible for handling securities enforcement, regulatory investigations, and compliance matters. The ideal candidate should have 3-7 years of experience in these areas.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research on securities laws, regulations, and precedents.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Provide legal advice to clients on securities litigation strategies and risk management.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex litigation cases.
  • Manage discovery, including document review and production.
  • Attend client meetings, depositions, and hearings as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.
  • 3-7 years of experience in securities enforcement, regulatory investigations, and compliance matters.
  • Strong understanding of securities laws, including the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in a law firm environment preferred.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications (if applicable):

Admission to the California State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Knowledge of e-discovery tools and practices.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial documents.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
