Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Estate/Medicaid Planning & Elder Law Partner to join its team. This role offers an opportunity to manage complex estate planning and elder law matters while maintaining an ideal work-life balance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing the practice, representing clients in various legal matters related to estate planning and Medicaid, and working collaboratively with a team of professionals.

Location:

  • Denver, Colorado

Duties:

  • Meet with clients in person or virtually to discuss their estate planning and elder law needs.
  • Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, and Medicaid planning documents.
  • Negotiate with opposing counsel in various matters.
  • Conduct legal research and ensure deadlines for cases are met.
  • Mentor and lead a team of attorneys and support staff in managing cases and clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service to clients.
  • Represent clients in Medicaid crisis planning, estate planning, and elder law-related cases.
  • Foster client relationships and provide high-quality, empathetic legal advice.
  • Participate in the strategic development and growth of the practice.

Requirements:

  • Attorney in good standing with the Colorado Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning, Medicaid planning, Medicaid crisis planning, and elder law.
  • Proven ability to manage complex estate and elder law cases.
  • Strong experience in drafting legal documents and negotiating with opposing counsel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to lead and develop a team of legal professionals.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado.

Skills:

  • Expertise in estate planning, Medicaid planning, and elder law.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage caseloads efficiently.
  • Client-focused with the ability to provide empathetic legal advice.
