Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a skilled Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, with a preference for a BSEE/BSME. Additional experience in trademark and/or copyright litigation is advantageous. Duties:

• Conducting legal research and analysis related to patent litigation cases.
• Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Assisting in the preparation for and participation in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Providing legal counsel to clients on patent litigation matters.
• Collaborating with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client representation.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in patent litigation.
• Background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Preference for a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• Additional experience in trademark and/or copyright litigation is a plus.
• Strong academic background with excellent academic credentials.
• Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience in taking and/or defending depositions.
• Proficiency in brief writing and oral motion practice before the courts.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
