Job Overview:

The Immigration Associate Attorney will manage and update cases, coordinate legal strategies, prepare case filings, conduct legal research, and stay informed about legislative changes. They will need to possess excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, along with exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Duties:

  • Maintain and update cases and correspondences.
  • Coordinate case and legal strategies with Team Members.
  • Prepare and manage various case filings and deadlines.
  • Review, edit, and prepare Briefs, Cover Letters, and Case Filings for USCIS.
  • Research unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial and agency decisions.
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect immigration.
  • Develop solutions to complex legal questions.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • JD degree or LL.MM.
  • Active Bar license (in good standing) in the USA.
  • 2-5 years of attorney experience in general immigration, including family and humanitarian-based petitions.
  • 2-5 years of attorney experience in asylum and removal defense.
  • 2-5 years of attorney experience in immigration.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability with work schedule.
  • Excellent communication, reading, and writing skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
