A law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Lawyer to handle a range of duties, including managing personal injury cases from inception to closure, attending hearings, and conducting depositions, mediations, and trials while maintaining strong communication with clients and other involved parties. The ideal candidate must exhibit leadership skills and hold extensive knowledge of Florida's Civil Rules of Procedure.

 

Job Details:

  • Manage personal injury litigation cases from start to finish.
  • Conduct depositions, attend mediations, and successfully settle cases.
  • Attend global settlements and all hearings leading up to trial.
  • Conduct trial preparation and take cases to trial.
  • Organize and maintain personal injury files.
  • Manage the medical care of clients and communicate professionally with all involved parties.
  • Attend case management meetings to discuss case status and strategy.
  • Supervise support staff in handling personal injury cases from inception to closing.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, mediation summaries, and demand letters.
  • Review and approve demand packages and handle court filing, scheduling, mediation/trial prep, and case management.
  • Provide effective problem-solving and consultation to resolve client concerns or questions.
  • Work in tandem with Paralegals and Legal Assistants to successfully complete cases.
  • Timely completion of assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing cases and preparing them thoroughly for trial.
  • Recent jury trial experience and comfort with taking cases to trial in Florida.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of insurance coverage types and policies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Civil Rules of Procedure in Florida.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • An active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

 

Education, Certifications, and Skills:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar.

 

Experience:

  • 3+ years of successful personal injury litigation experience along with trial case experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of personal injury experience.

 

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
