Job Overview

A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Private Equity Mergers and Acquisitions Associate Attorney to play a crucial role in supporting healthcare clients with their transactional needs. The successful candidate will primarily focus on acquisitions of physician and dental practices, as well as representing behavioral health providers. The ideal candidate should possess at least 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions, with a preference for individuals who have worked with private equity funds and/or healthcare providers. Additional experience or interest in behavioral health will be considered a valuable asset.

Duties

  • Led and managed mergers and acquisitions transactions for healthcare clients, with a primary focus on the acquisitions of physician and dental practices.
  • Provide legal representation and counsel to behavioral health providers, addressing their unique transactional requirements.
  • Conduct due diligence, draft and negotiate transaction documents, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth and successful transactions.
  • Stay updated on legal developments in healthcare and private equity to provide informed advice to clients.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar in Colorado.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Proven experience working with private equity funds and/or healthcare providers.
  • Knowledge or interest in behavioral health transactions is a plus.
  • High level of academic achievement throughout law school.
  • Previous law firm experience is required.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Colorado State Bar Association.
