Business Immigration Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Business Immigration Attorney for a hybrid/remote position in New York City, NY. The successful candidate will have over five years of experience in business immigration, handling a variety of employment-based immigration matters and leading a team of paralegals while managing client relationships.

Duties

• Handle employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters.
• Analyze and prepare key immigration legal issues, including H-1B, L-1, TN, and PERM labor certifications.
• Prepare appropriate immigrant visa petitions.
• Participate in business development functions.
• Establish case strategy and troubleshoot issues.
• Draft and file petitions and applications.
• Organize and prioritize case schedules.
• Communicate with clients regarding case processing.
• Travel to off-site meetings as needed.
• Conduct legal research for client representation.
• Update and manage case status reports.
• Interface with clients continuously.
• Handle cases from inception to completion.
• Review and approve documents and filings accurately.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business immigration.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction.
