Trial Lawyer

A law firm in Kalamazoo, MI, is seeking a Trial Lawyer who will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases in criminal defense. The successful candidate will conduct legal research, draft legal documents, provide legal advice to clients, negotiate settlements, represent clients in court, and litigate cases.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research using various resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings and briefs.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Represent clients in court and litigate cases.
• Prepare and present legal arguments in court.
• Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the Bar and licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in legal research, drafting, and writing.
• Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
