Associate Attorney for West Palm Beach office

A law firm in West Palm Beach, FL, seeks an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in personal injury and/or medical malpractice. The candidate should be organized, possess Spanish speaking skills (preferred), and demonstrate a passion for trying cases to verdict. Responsibilities include taking depositions, court appearances, drafting motions, and overseeing cases through the litigation process. Some travel may be required.

Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to personal injury and medical malpractice cases.
• Take depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties involved in litigation.
• Represent clients in court appearances and hearings.
• Draft various motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Oversee cases to ensure smooth progression through the litigation process.
• Handle multiple cases of varying complexity simultaneously.
• Travel as necessary to attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury and/or medical malpractice.
• Spanish speaking skills preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for trying cases to verdict.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Fluent in Spanish (preferred).
• Willingness to travel as needed for case-related activities.
