A law firm seeks an intellectual property attorney for its West Palm Beach, FL, office.

Job Overview:

The Intellectual Property Attorney will work closely with other partners and senior associates on patent and trademark issues. They will handle patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution matters, leveraging their significant experience in this domain.

Duties:

  • Manage patent and trademark litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and execution.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on intellectual property issues to clients.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the Patent Bar is preferred.
  • 8-12 years of patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution experience in a law firm setting.
  • Strong litigation skills with a track record of successful case outcomes.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively within deadlines and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science or significant experience litigating patents in these technology areas.
  • Member of the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming one.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (preferred).
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Patent Bar (preferred).
  • Member of the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming one.
