A law firm is seeking an eDiscovery Attorney for their Chicago, IL office.

Job Overview:

The eDiscovery Attorney will manage eDiscovery in a portfolio of complex and global litigations and investigations. This role involves utilizing eDiscovery review platforms, advising stakeholders on eDiscovery issues, identifying improvements to eDiscovery policies and procedures, serving as a subject matter expert, and implementing custom workflows to enhance efficiency.

Duties:

  • Manage eDiscovery in a portfolio of complex and global litigations & investigations.
  • Utilize eDiscovery review platforms, including Relativity, Recommind, and other analytics tools.
  • Handle data processing and document processing.
  • Advise legal, compliance, and group investigation stakeholders on eDiscovery issues & strategies
  • Work with eDiscovery processes and current & evolving eDiscovery technologies
  • Identify and escalate improvements to eDiscovery policies and procedures
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on eDiscovery topics
  • Help with the onboarding and training of new and existing customers
  • Implement custom workflows to reduce client costs and enhance speed-to-evidence
  • Create and refine standard documentation, including ESI protocols, Protective Orders, review protocols, training guides, and review workflows

Requirements:

  • JD degree
  • Ideally, 5 years of experience managing eDiscovery in complex litigations and investigations
  • Admission to the Bar (any state)
  • Strong understanding of current eDiscovery law and jurisprudence
  • Demonstrated knowledge of eDiscovery practices and technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion
  • Proven ability to identify continuous improvements in policies and processes

Education & Certifications:

  • JD degree
  • Admission to the Bar (any state)

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of current eDiscovery law and jurisprudence
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery processes and technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive approach to identifying improvements in policies and processes
