Estates and Trusts Associate Attorney

New York City office of our client seeks an estates and trusts associate attorney with 4+ years of experience in probate, trust administration, and estate planning. The candidate will administer trusts and estates from inception to completion. Review and draft trust and probate administration documents and other related documents. Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, deeds, beneficiary designation forms, and other estate planning documents. Conduct legal research regarding complex procedural and substantive issues related to probate and estate planning. Build relationships with existing and prospective clients through networking and business development activities. Must be licensed in New York.

The candidate must have a Juris Doctorate with strong academic and employment credentials. Should be proficient in MS Office Suite. Advanced research and writing skills, including proficiency with legal research tools, including WestLaw and LexisNexis, are needed. Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Should have the ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as in a team environment involving extensive collaboration with other attorneys, paralegals, and office staff.
