A law firm in San Diego is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on gaming regulatory experience, ideally in the tribal gaming space. The ideal candidate will have a background in drafting and arguing discovery motions, as well as taking and defending depositions. Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, strong academic credentials, and the ability to manage cases independently are crucial. The candidate must be admitted to practice in a state.

 

Duties:

  • Drafting legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis on gaming regulations and related laws.
  • Representing clients in litigation proceedings, including court appearances and negotiations.
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and tactics.
  • Providing legal advice and counsel to clients on gaming regulatory matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in a state.
  • 3+ years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry (casino gaming, sports betting, iGaming, fantasy sports, etc.) in a mid-size to large law firm setting.
  • Background in drafting and arguing discovery motions.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions.
  • Strong understanding of gaming regulations and laws.
  • Excellent oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:
