Senior Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established civil litigation law firm based in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Personal Injury Attorney to manage a caseload of plaintiff-side personal injury and government liability matters. Location:

• Los Angeles, California

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of litigated personal injury matters from inception through resolution

• Prepare and draft legal documents, including complaints and motions

• Draft meet-and-confer letters regarding discovery disputes

• Prepare clients for depositions and hearings

• Take and defend depositions throughout all stages of litigation

• Respond to and draft dispositive and other legal motions

• Attend court appearances and participate in mediations

• Negotiate settlements and evaluate claims for resolution

• Direct and support investigations for assigned litigation cases

• Participate in focus groups, trial preparation, and attorney development programs

Requirements:

• 1–4 years of experience in personal injury litigation

• Experience with pre-litigation case management and written discovery

• Comfortable conducting and defending depositions

• Willingness to attend hearings, trials, and mediations

• Workers' compensation experience is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills

• Excellent litigation and negotiation abilities

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and case management skills

• Proficient in legal technology and case management systems
