An established law firm in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to represent clients navigating complex legal matters such as divorce, child custody, alimony, and domestic abuse. This role involves managing sensitive and high-conflict cases while providing strategic legal counsel and courtroom advocacy. Location

• Melrose, Massachusetts

Duties

• Represent clients in family law litigation and mediation (divorce, custody, support, alimony, prenuptial/postnuptial agreements)

• Draft motions, pleadings, settlement agreements, and trial documents

• Manage high-conflict matters involving domestic violence, abuse, and contested custody

• Attend court proceedings and advocate for clients during hearings and trials

• Guide clients through the legal process with empathy and strategic insight

• Collaborate with internal team members to develop legal strategies and ensure timely case management

• Maintain and organize case files for accuracy and accessibility

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in family law, including litigation and settlement negotiation

• Proven ability to manage emotionally charged, high-stakes cases

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar

• Strong communication, advocacy, and client counseling skills

• Familiarity with real estate matters connected to family law cases is preferred

• Experience with legal tech platforms such as Clio, Lawmatics, and Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• Active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association

• Affiliation with the American Bar Association (ABA) preferred
