Job Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications related to biotechnology, including Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related disciplines.
  • Evaluate patent portfolios and provide strategic advice on intellectual property matters.
  • Conduct due diligence investigations to assess the intellectual property aspects of potential transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and align patent strategies accordingly.
  • Provide legal support in various aspects of intellectual property law within the biotech sector.
  • Stay current with developments in biotechnology and patent law.

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of relevant experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, evaluating patent portfolios, and performing due diligence investigations.
  • Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in a law firm.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills (both written and oral).

Education:
