Criminal Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established Denver-based criminal defense law firm is seeking an Associate Criminal Defense Attorney to join its growing legal team. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney who is passionate about advocating for clients in county and district courts across Colorado. Location:

• Denver, CO

Duties:

• Represent clients in criminal matters in both county and district courts

• Manage and litigate an independent caseload

• Conduct legal research and case analysis to identify and apply relevant legal issues

• Prepare legal motions, attend hearings, negotiate plea deals, and conduct trials as necessary

• Collaborate with fellow attorneys on legal strategy and case development

• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case progress and outcomes

Requirements:

• Criminal trial experience preferred

• Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and efficiently

• Willingness to collaborate with a legal team while maintaining autonomy over caseload

• Strong analytical, organizational, and client service skills

• Public Defender or District Attorney background is welcomed but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado

• In good standing with the Colorado State Bar
