A law firm in Houston is seeking an IP & Technology Associate Attorney with Bar admission. The candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of intellectual property and technology matters

for clients.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets
  • Draft and review patent applications, trademark registrations, and licensing agreements
  • Conduct intellectual property due diligence for corporate transactions
  • Assist with intellectual property litigation, including infringement disputes and enforcement actions
  • Counsel clients on technology-related legal issues, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and digital rights management
  • Negotiate technology agreements, including software licenses, SaaS agreements, and technology transfer agreements
  • Stay updated on developments in intellectual property law and technology regulations
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and implement intellectual property strategies

 

Requirements:

  • Bar admission
  • Experience in intellectual property law, preferably with a focus on patents, trademarks, or technology transactions

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Bar admission

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in legal work
