Litigation Support Counsel

Job Overview
A well-established law firm is seeking a seasoned Litigation Support Counsel with a strong background in insurance defense. This fully remote role is tailored for an experienced attorney who no longer wishes to manage a full caseload independently but is eager to contribute by providing key litigation support to the firm’s trial attorneys. This position emphasizes high-level strategy, drafting, and case assessment without primary client-facing responsibilities.

Location

Duties

• Review attorney case files for deficiencies in litigation handling

• Draft critical legal documents, including motions and status letters

• Support case preparation by retaining expert witnesses and assisting with discovery

• Collaborate with management to report on key litigation issues and progress

• Provide supplemental litigation services without managing a personal caseload

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation

• Strong organizational and analytical skills

• Ability to provide legal support in a remote, collaborative environment

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and in-good-standing California Bar License

• Licensure in additional states is a plus
