Job Overview:

Duties:

• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, and motion practice

• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses

• Prepare discovery requests and responses aligned with case strategies

• Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts

• Participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences

• Collaborate with colleagues on legal strategies and case evaluations

• Analyze and provide input on insurance coverage issues

• Conduct legal research and write memoranda, briefs, and reports

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience in civil or commercial matters

• Prior exposure to insurance defense or a demonstrated interest in the field

• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines

• Strong oral advocacy and legal writing capabilities

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Exceptional legal research and analytical skills

• Proficient in drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
