A law firm in Seattle is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join their team. The successful candidate will handle depositions, draft motions, and appear in court, working on cases independently while regularly liaising with clients and witnesses. JD degree is required, along with demonstrated experience in workers’ compensation defense and deposition and motion practice. Membership in the Oregon State Bar is mandatory, with additional admissions to the Washington State Bar and California State Bar desired.

 

Duties:

  • Handle depositions, draft motions, and represent clients in court proceedings.
  • Work independently on cases, managing all aspects of litigation.
  • Regularly communicate and liaise with clients and witnesses.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and other case-related meetings.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of experience in workers’ compensation defense.
  • Demonstrated experience with deposition and motion practice.
  • Membership in the Oregon State Bar is required.
  • Washington State Bar and California State Bar admissions desired.
