Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney to join its team in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of asbestos litigation experience and superior research and writing skills. They should be capable of working independently and collaboratively, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to producing high-quality work. Admission to the California Bar is required.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Attorney will represent clients in legal proceedings, conduct research, draft legal documents, and provide counsel. They will work closely with clients, colleagues, and third parties to achieve successful outcomes.

Job Details:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as:
  • Working at a computer for extended periods, including on-screen reading and typing.
  • Participating in digital/virtual conference calls.
  • Participating in meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of asbestos litigation experience.
• Superior research and writing skills.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
• Experience managing a case docket and appearing in court is preferred.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Admission to the California Bar.
