Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Brooklyn, NY, is expanding its Transportation Litigation group and seeks a litigation associate with 1–3 years of experience in no-fault defense matters within New York State. This is a dynamic opportunity for an early-career attorney to build expertise in insurance defense litigation in a fast-paced, collegial environment. Duties:

• Manage a caseload from initial investigation through trial and possible appeal

• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery demands with attention to detail and legal accuracy

• Take and defend depositions of parties and witnesses

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda as needed

• Represent clients in court conferences and oral arguments

• Maintain direct communication with clients, adversaries, and court personnel

• Support case strategy development and litigation planning with team input

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in New York; admission in New Jersey is advantageous

• 1-3 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably involving no-fault claims

• Demonstrated knowledge of New York No-Fault law and insurance defense procedures

• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments efficiently

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and professionalism in courtroom settings

• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and collaborating across departments

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• New York State Bar admission is required

• New Jersey Bar admission is a plus

Skills:

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills

• Solid command of legal research tools and litigation software

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook

• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

• Flexible and adaptable in a high-volume legal setting
