Job Description:

Duties:

• Lead the defense of personal injury and property damage cases, overseeing all phases from inception through trial.
• Conduct thorough investigations to determine the facts of each case and develop effective defense strategies.
• Draft, review, and manage pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
• Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff, providing guidance on case management and litigation strategies.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive case preparation.
• Manage a caseload effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting personal injury and property damage insurance defense.

Requirements:

• A valid license to practice law in the State of New York.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in personal injury and property damage insurance defense.
• Proven track record of litigating and resolving cases effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, court officials, and opposing counsel.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and complex legal issues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
