Job Overview:
A growing immigration law firm based in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney to join its team. Location:

  • Louisville, Kentucky

Duties:

  • Manage a varied caseload involving family-based immigration, asylum, deportation defense, and employment-based visa petitions

  • Represent clients in matters before USCIS, U.S. consulates/embassies, and other government agencies

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents

  • Provide clear legal guidance and support to clients, building trust and strong client relationships

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and advocacy

  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and respond to inquiries

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law preferred (open to candidates with 1 year of experience or immigration law clinic exposure)

  • Experience with USCIS petitions and forms is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Strong interest in client advocacy and public service

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. state (Required)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Familiarity with immigration case procedures and compliance

  • Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal communication

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing cases
