Job Title: Mid-Level Life Sciences Corporate Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking a mid-level associate to support its growing life sciences corporate group. The team represents innovative companies across the healthcare, biotechnology, and technology sectors in a variety of corporate matters, including venture capital financing, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic governance. This position is offered through a legal recruiting agency on behalf of the firm.

Duties:

  • Handle complex corporate transactions for life sciences and healthcare sector clients

  • Advise on equity financings, initial public offerings (IPOs), and M&A activity

  • Assist with public company reporting and compliance, including SEC filings

  • Participate in the negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements

  • Provide guidance on corporate governance and general operational issues

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support global business initiatives

  • Manage key aspects of deals and contribute to transaction strategy and execution

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in corporate and transactional law

  • Background in capital markets, M&A, and public company regulatory work

  • Demonstrated ability to manage transaction components independently

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively within team environments

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • Must be eligible for or already admitted to practice in Washington, DC

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of corporate law principles and transactional structures

  • Familiarity with life sciences or demonstrated interest in the sector

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and drafting skills

  • High level of attention to detail and client service orientation

  • Capacity to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
