Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Land Use Attorney with 2 years of experience in municipal law and transactional matters. This role involves advising clients on zoning, planning, and land development projects, as well as navigating regulatory compliance and municipal approvals. Duties

  • Advise clients on zoning, planning, and land use regulations
  • Prepare and review development applications, agreements, and contracts
  • Represent clients before municipal boards and regulatory agencies
  • Conduct legal research related to land use, environmental, and municipal issues
  • Draft ordinances, resolutions, and other municipal documents as needed
  • Assist with transactional matters related to property development and land use
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, planners, and government officials to advance projects

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in land use and/or municipal law
  • Familiarity with zoning, planning, and land development regulations
  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar
