A law firm in Chicago is seeking a skilled Supreme Court and Appellate Associate Attorney with exceptional legal research, writing, and interpersonal abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience as a judicial clerk, preferably for a federal or state appellate court, and possess a completed JD from an accredited law school. Strong academic credentials are required.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex legal issues related to appellate matters.
  • Draft persuasive appellate briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in preparing for oral arguments before appellate courts.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy and legal matters.
  • Review trial records, transcripts, and relevant documents for appellate cases.
  • Stay updated on legal developments, precedents, and trends in appellate law.

 

Requirements:

  • Completed JD from an accredited law school.
  • Experience as a judicial clerk, preferably for a federal or state appellate court.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong legal research and superb writing skills.
  • Exceptional oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
