Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a highly qualified Structured Finance Of Counsel to join its finance group within the structured finance subgroup. This role presents an opportunity to work on complex and high-profile transactions involving structured finance, securitization, and CLOs. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in structured finance and possess strong leadership skills to manage relationships with clients and other stakeholders.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Advise clients on matters related to structured finance, securitization, and CLO transactions
  • Draft, negotiate, and review complex financial agreements and legal documentation
  • Offer strategic legal counsel on regulatory issues impacting the structured finance industry
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and engagement
  • Provide research and legal guidance on complex and evolving financial transactions
  • Collaborate with partners and team members on high-value transactions
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, offering guidance on professional development
  • Support business development and client outreach initiatives
  • Ensure timely and high-quality legal deliverables, meeting deadlines and client expectations
  • Maintain high standards of client service and legal excellence

Requirements:

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in structured finance, securitization, and CLO transactions
  • Experience at a leading law firm, preferably within the AmLaw 100
  • Proven ability to handle complex financial transactions and provide expert legal advice
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex matters
  • Ability to build and manage client relationships effectively
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and drafting abilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of structured finance, CLOs, and securitization
  • Problem-solving and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Leadership and mentoring experience
  • Excellent negotiation skills
