A law firm is seeking a dynamic Lateral Corporate - M&A/Private Equity Associate Attorney to join their team in Houston. The candidate will provide legal counsel to corporate clients and private equity funds on various transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments, and general corporate matters.

 

Job Overview:

  • Advise corporate clients and private equity funds on M&A transactions and general corporate matters.
  • Review and draft transaction documents and manage deals effectively.
  • Duties:
  • Provide legal advice and support on M&A transactions, dispositions, and minority investments.
  • Draft and review transaction documents.
  • Assist in due diligence investigations.
  • Manage and negotiate deals with clients and counterparties.
  • Provide general corporate legal support as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
  • 4-7 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on M&A transactions and private equity.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law and market terms.
  • Significant experience in reviewing and drafting transaction documents.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Texas State Bar.
