A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm, and a science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology). Primary responsibilities include working with experts, assisting with fact development and depositions, reviewing and drafting discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda, and helping develop case strategy. Superior research, analytical, and writing skills are highly preferred, as well as experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with experts to develop case strategies and analyze complex scientific and technical issues.
  • Assist with fact development, conduct depositions, and prepare witnesses for testimony.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Work closely with partners and senior associates to manage and execute litigation matters effectively.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
  • Science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) required.
  • Superior research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.
  • Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in good standing.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
